WHEEL WORKS POTTERY
Welcome to Wheel Works Pottery!
If you landed on my website, you have successfully sifted through my identity theft where my site was originally wheelworkspottery.ca. As well, if you're searching through social media, my page there no longer exists. Yes, my name is Deborah Craven, but I have a presence as Deborah Gorman on Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/deborah.gorman.26431). So Congratulations! You made it!
Our collection is forever changing with approach to exploring clay bodies, colour and textures. We offer functional and non-functional pieces. All pottery is one-of-a-kind, uniquely hand-crafted by the artist, Deborah Craven.
Deborah began her Art Training as a fibre artist in 1975 at Georgian College, faculty of Design Arts and Technology. She then studied at The Banff Centre and The Alberta College of Art, Calgary. Ever-searching to finetune her artform, Deborah achieved her BFA at Concordia University and Teaching of the Arts; Specialist; at McGill University.
Deborah was a fine arts teacher in both Quebec and Ontario until 2018. She found a rekindled love of working with clay and is completely immersed in experimenting and playing with new ideas and expression. Deborah's studio Wheel Works Pottery is located in the town of Renfrew, Ontario; the space offers a showroom and space for students to develop their technique (one-to-one classes are $30 for 2 1/2 hrs of instruction. contact us for further details.)
